HOPE's Affordable Housing Portfolio

HOPE’s housing “recipe” is not unlike many organizations our size, and is built on the power of relationship and presence in certain geographical locations throughout Southern California.

For the past 30 years HOPE has been using a combination of funding sources to acquire and renovate properties: CHDO Loans from Cities, HUD 811 grants from the Federal Government, Foundation grants, HOPE’s Reserves, State grants from DDS. All of this comes with compliance: assurances to the funders that HOPE is stewarding their respective resources correctly. This is achieved through organization audits, funder-specific audits of our financials, methods, and samples of our work, and also site visits.

Below please find our affordable housing portfolio—the heart of HOPE’s mission—categorized by City, Corporation, and Funding Source. This is intended to help you 1) get a good sense of how to categorize the housing and 2) as a quick reference as needed to help you find specifics on a property.
