New Member Recruitment, Selection and Engagement

HOPE’s primary objective is to align the skills and abilities of every Board of Directors member with the specific demands of their roles, ensuring a harmonious fit within the team.  To facilitate that alignment, we offer customized training programs that encompass a wide array of critical subjects, and we offer a variety of activities that enable prospective Board candidates to interact with HOPE Board members, staff, community partners and program residents.  Some of these activities include attending HOPE gatherings and events, residence visits, and participating on committees and promoting attendance at HOPE events.

These experiences are designed to familiarize prospective members with the HOPE’s mission, vision, and values as well as our various housing models and programs. That said, we do require a fairly extensive vetting and orientation process.
